White cedar logs were imported from Canada to construct the Big Blue Lodge, which was custom designed to take advantage of views overlooking the twenty acre boomerang-shaped lake. This Nebraska guest ranch combines the rustic beauty of yesterday with today's modern amenities. You will not be disappointed!

The great rooms of both suites can be joined by opening a set of oversized double doors on each side for larger groups and family reunions. Enjoy the comfortable open floor plan with 18-foot vaulted ceilings, log beams, floor to ceiling stone fireplaces with hearth seating, leather sofas, oak dining tables, and black walnut bars.

A fabulous panoramic view of our Nebraska lake, hills and woods can be seen through the large windows and glass French doors leading onto a spacious covered porch. Full kitchens provide beech cabinets, black appliances, granite sinks, antique bronze faucets and copper accents to add a rich yet warm feel.

An electric range, microwave, blender, coffee maker, refrigerator, dishes, utensils, cookware and dishwasher are provided to guests for meal preparations. Red oak hardwood floors and knotty pine walls provide a warm welcoming atmosphere. Italian style natural red clay tiles have been used in both kitchens as well as the spacious baths.

Each suite has two bedrooms which comfortably sleep six people: one bedroom has a cedar log queen-size bed and the other bedroom includes 2 sets of comfortable extra-long rustic aspen bunk beds to sleep the tall ones. One suite is handicapped accessible and the entire lodge is all on one level for easy access.

Each suite is independently regulated for heating and air conditioning. For easy access from the parking area, an entry ramp leads to the first of two covered porches that span the length of the lodge. Both porches offer glass topped tables with Cape Cod wicker chairs and love seats for guests to relax and watch the sunrise or magnificent sunset.
